Over the weekend, I noticed that #ThingsIHateAboutFacebook was trending on Twitter, which got me thinking about Facebook etiquette.
We all know I spent a lot of time on Facebook, either stalking people, laughing at other people’s photos or checking out my own photos in order to perfect my pose for the next picture. After such prolonged exposure to one form of social media, I have discovered that there are certain things that annoy the shit out of me on Facebook:
People that send me app requests – I believe my good friend MM said it best, when she listed one of her pet peeves as “Annoying requests and links on FB. Umm, if I wanted to play “build a tiny farm and fight dragons” with you I would have asked.” Word.
People that ‘like’ a photo you posted back in 2007 – there’s only one word for this. Stalker. I have nearly 2000 pictures of myself on facebook, it would have taken you hours to scroll back into my pictures and like one posted so long ago. Seriously, take a note from my good friend AK’s school of stalking: never leave a visible trail.
