Husband has always been fascinated with the topic of survival and how to stay alive through a disaster scenario. After 9/11 occurred, Husband established what is called a ‘bug out’ bag. Essentially, a bug out bag is a collection of basic survival gear that may be required in a catastrophe, natural or otherwise. It is transportable so that you can grab it and go in a hurry.
The first time I heard about this was when Husband and I moved in together. He unpacked this HUGE backpack filled with random stuff. Of course, I made him go through it and laughed my ass off at him; I’m supportive like that. Interestingly, recently a new show started on cable called Doomsday Preppers, and it focuses on people who fear certain disasters and how they are preparing for that scenario. Of course, this is Husband’s favorite show ever, and it makes me start to think about what a Trophy Wife would pack in her bug out bag.
